The Waters
Water uses, clearly explained.
The K8 produces five manufacturer-named water types. Each setting has a name, a pH range, and an intended use.
Kangen Water® · pH 8.5 – 9.5
Kangen Water is the drinking setting, produced in the pH 8.5 – 9.5 range. Follow the current K8 operating guide for everyday use.
From your tap to your glass.
Every machine does the same four things, in the same order, each time you turn it on.
Filter
Tap water passes through a built-in filter that removes chlorine, sediment, rust, and off tastes and odors.
Electrolyze
The filtered water flows across platinum-coated titanium plates carrying current — electrolysis, the heart of the machine.
Separate
Electrolysis splits the water into two streams: alkaline for drinking and cooking, acidic for cleaning and beauty.
Pour
The water you select pours fresh in that moment — never bottled, never stored.
Certified — and happy to show the paperwork.
We would rather point you to the paperwork than ask you to take our word for it. Each credential below is an independent check of how Enagic builds and stands behind its machines — company-wide, behind every model — and every one links straight to the original document.
WQA Gold Seal
Product Certification
The Water Quality Association’s Gold Seal is independent product certification for water treatment — the machine was tested by an outside body against published performance standards, not graded by its maker. It is the credential we point to first.

Quality Management
The world’s most widely used quality standard. An independent registrar audits how the machines are designed, built, and supported — confirming the process is consistent, documented at every step, and reviewed for continual improvement. The baseline proof that the company does what it says it does.

Environmental Management
The most recognized environmental standard there is. It means the manufacturer is audited against a framework for lower-impact production — lighter-footprint materials, reduced and recycled waste, and more efficient energy use across the factories.

Precision Manufacturing
A stricter, more demanding cousin of ISO 9001 — built around tight traceability and exacting documentation at every stage of production. A level of manufacturing discipline well beyond what a household appliance normally calls for.

Independent Testing
One of the world’s oldest independent testing bodies. Their mark means the product was examined by a neutral third party — not the manufacturer — and met the safety and quality requirements they test against.
